MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION| CONSULTANCY
I was 29 when I first became a member of the supervisory board of a second-generation family business. After almost 25 years of supervisory board work in various companies (hotel & hospitality, sports, construction & industry, heritage), I have experienced first-hand how important it is to advise management boards from a trusted, bird’s eye view.
Managing boards spend much of their time on day-to-day matters and can lose sight of their long-term vision, which means that staying close to your core values can be challenging. I have experienced this in many shapes and forms over the course of my career, and serving on a board gives a great sense of responsibility to yourself, the company and to the shareholders and stakeholders.
Keeping track of the bigger picture and balancing all the interests involved are always challenging and can make you into who you are. As a chairman and/or supervisory board member of various companies, clubs and institutions, I have always enjoyed supporting clubs or teams and charting the course in cooperation with the board.
Relying on my ample experience, I passionately and expertly connect different generations, departments, companies and worlds. I always seek to start respectful conversations and open up to others by looking beyond the visuals and listening beyond the worlds.
In other words: moving beyond success, to value!
